The Tap Yard - Menomonee Falls
Make a sun catcher in a beer garden!
Come sip a tasty beverage at The Tap Yard in Menomonee Falls at Menomonee Park and get creative!
The sun catcher workshop is tailored to provide you with all the necessary materials and guidance to create your own dazzling sun catcher. After choosing from one of our vast selection of templates (pre-calculated to fit your disc), you will select your colors of marbles and other available accents, and glue them onto a 5″ acrylic disc. Finish with a colorful tie or a chain to hang it.
Our workshops are all about the unique experience where all you need to do is come in and create. We do all the shopping for you, we gather all of the supplies, and we set up and clean up. So gather your friends, make something fun, and find your inner artist.
To help get your creative juices flowing, your first drink is on us!

About Us: Our names are Kristy and Kelly and we met a long time ago while working in the floral industry. We have expressed our natural artistic talents since childhood and come from loving, close-knit families with creative backgrounds. With our college degrees in art and design along with over 45 years of combined professional experience, we have decided to share our studies and creativity with others by hosting creative workshops to help people discover their inner artist.
Why Two Mikes?!?! Terrible diseases took our dads away from us. They were both named Mike and were both creative geniuses! (The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.) The second mission of our workshops is to contribute a portion of our profits to the American Lung Association and the Association for Frontotemporal Dementia in memory of our dads.
About The Tap Yard: Lively beer gardens in numerous locations, featuring 24 drafts of craft beer, wine, hard seltzers, and canned cocktails. We have great events including a rotation of amazing food trucks, trivia, live music, music bingo, pub feud, paint nights, and more!
Check-in to recevie your free drink ticket and grab a tasty beverage before we start!
Let the fun begin!
All good things come to an end. We need time to clean and pack up from the project since the beer garden closes by 9:00PM. Please be mindful of the time. 😉
We do not offer refunds, however, we do allow you to send someone in your place OR we can build you a kit and ship it to you. (Applicable shipping fees will be added.) If someone else you know is still attending, we can build a kit and send it home with the attendee at the workshop.
There is a shelter at this location so if the conditions are light we can continue the workshop. If the weather does not cooperate, we will have to reschedule the event. We will notify you via email if this should happen. We will also notify you when we get the new date set. If you are not able to attend the new date, we will offer either a credit to apply towards any of our future workshops or a refund.
